Joel Seaman received a BFA from Tufts University in conjunction with The School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He worked for eighteen years as a cabinet maker, ten of those as Master Cabinet Maker at Hancock Shaker Village. A 1998 visit to Japan inspired his return to photography, both of which have been passions since his youth. He has exhibited photographs across the Northeast since 1999.
