Artist Statement
Fern|Handcrafted Furniture was founded in Brooklyn, NY by woodworker Jason Roskey, and his partner Maggie Goudsmit in 2009.
Currently, Fern is based in New York’s Hudson Valley where we continue crafting heirloom-quality furniture, lighting and objects from American hardwoods, and reclaimed timbers.
Our upstate New York location allows us to access some of the country’s finest hardwoods, and to fully realize our goal of designing, and making contemporary, yet timeless pieces using sustainable practices.
